Different from Taipei zoo, Green World Ecological Farm gives you a new experience to interact with wildlife. 

Green World Ecological Farm is located in Beipu, Hsinchu. It is a large-scale farm combining the natural ecology of animals and plants with leisure and recreation.

It is a world-class farm featuring six theme parks:

1. Swan Lake (天鵝湖)
2. Discovery Land Area (大探奇區)
3. Water Plants Park (水生植物公園)
4. Bird Ecological Park (鳥類生態公園)
5. Butterfly Ecological Park (蝴蝶生態公園)
6. Biodiversity Adventure Area (生物多樣性探索區)

It will take over 3 hours if you go through all the areas by feet. 

However, there are the shuttle buses connect to the above areas thoughtfully,

The shuttle is kind of golf cart which can fit six people. It's charged only $20 NT /per person for one ride.  

In addition to the six theme parks, Green World has 47 scenic spots, including:

Macaw Area (金剛鸚鵡區), Lovely Animal Area (可愛動物區), Animal Stars Show (動物劇場), Amazon Rainforest Area (亞馬遜雨林區)... etc.

The most popular animal star of Green World is the alpacas. Alpacas are given breaks to the grassland from time to time. You can check the scheudle in advance. 

Alpacas are social animals that live in family groups consisting a territorial alpha male, females and younglings. 

They're very shy and alert. Any strange things or noise can make them feel scared. 

Be aware that when alpacas feel threatened or scared, they might spit on you if you happned to be next to them.   

You won't like the smell of the spit since alpacas is notorious for their stinky mouth.  

Besides alpacas, Wildlife zookeepers will take pelicans for a walk and feed them every day.

It's not easy to take them out, because it depends on their mood.  

Another popular spot for kids is Lovely Animal Area, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens are runing everywhere. 

Reeves's muntjacs (or Chinese muntjac 山羌) are also living in the area. They're small-sized deers which found widely in southeastern China and Taiwan. 

As Nara(奈良) is well-known for its deer, muntjacs should be a representative animal of Taiwan. 

Although the size fo animals here are small, you still need to watch out for your kids, especially when muntjacs fight with each other. 

Keep in mindm, when kids holding food on their hand, muntjacs & chickens may chase them. 

 Besides the close contact with animals, the scenery in Green World is also fascinating. 

Deciduous cypress (落羽松) is quite famous in recent years in Taiwan due to the changes of its color. 

Green World can give you a entracing glimpse of deciduous cypress. 

As the winter comes, the cypress will turn into red and orange.

It seemed that the land was put on a flaming red cloak. The scenery will put you in a mysterious paradise in a cypress forest.

The appealing part of Green World is its clean and wide grassland.

Many families enojy their picnic on the grassland if the weather is comfortable. 

You can immerse in the natural environment with your friends or kids.    

Green World also provides various food and beverages for you to choose from. 

Even though, Green World Econlogical Fram had limited animal exhibitions compare to Taipei zoo.   

There is no need to rush yourself to go over too many the exhibitions. Kids can spend more time in contact closely with animals. 

That's also why it makes the Green World become a kid-friendly farm.

As mentioned, Green World is much focused on its scenic views and beautiful trail.

In such comfortably landscaped open space, you just need to stroll leisurely in a relaxing atmosphere here.

SRC Beipu Impression Cafe  北埔印象咖啡

A new attraction located at the entrace of Green World was built recently.

The coffee shop collects over 50 classic motorcycles and antique cars.

All those antiques has been collecting by owner of the coffee shop for over 3 generations.  

In addition,  the crazy part for men and kids is the real size Transformers (變形金剛)

Especially, the role Grimlock (鋼鎖) in the movie. The steel robots and machines has inspired the the coffe shop. 

It's also the name SRC (Steel Reinforced Concrete) come from.

By Car

National Highway No. 3 (Formosa Highway) → Get off from Cyonlin Interchange (toward Chutung) → County Highway #120 (Fulin Road) → Turn right on Provincial Highway No. 3 (Jhongfeng Road) toward Beipu → Turn left at the 79.5km point on Provincial Highway #3 and drive for about 2km

It is a 30 minutes commute from Hinshu train station by car. 

You can also visit the other attractions nearby. e.g. Beipu Old Street, Beipu Liutang Bald Cypress (北埔六塘石柿餅-落羽松）
